Good Product Mar 07, 2007

The grip on the racquet I bought was way too slippery (I almost dropped it a few times), so I bought this. It was fairly easy to apply and it is very soft and squishy (and grippy). The problem with it, though, is that it is pretty thick, so after application your grip is much bigger. It also takes out some of the feel and vibrations. So far I haven't even come close to dropping my racquet.

After trying several brands this is my favorite Sep 26, 2009
By Willy Alfaro I bought this Yonex overgrip, the Wilson Pro and the Babolat Symbio overgrip.
After playing with them all, I have the say - in my experience, that the Yonex holds better humidity, and it is the least slippery. I must agree with Eric M. on his previous review that is a bit thick, Wilson is as well with less tack that Yonex. Symbio is thinner and has great tack.
So if for someone this is helpful, I would recommend Yonex for best tack, Symbio is thinner and it is my second best and I gave away the Wilson ones, since they are thick and slippery after a while.
Others might have experience differently, but to me Yonex is the best.
Solid choice at a very reasonable price Sep 29, 2011
By A. Northrop I've been using these same Yonex grips for about 20 years on badminton, squash and tennis racquets. You really cannot go wrong with them. They are extremely tacky when new - take it from someone whose hands sweat a lot when I play!! They do wear out over time, and probably a little faster than some others given the soft tacky nature of the grip. But they are cheap enough for regular replacement. I don't find them particularly thick. Certainly there are much thicker tennis overgrips out there, and plenty that are more expensive but pretty useless in terms of stopping your hand from slipping. If they are too thick, you could always remove the original grip from underneath. But when I buy my racquets, I usually buy 1 grip size down anyway becuase you can always add two or more wraps to get to the perfect thickness. Plus, increasing the grip diameter with an extra overgrip can help with tennis elbow by preventing you from gripping the handle too tight, which tightens the tendons going into the elbow and contributes to tendonitis. Highly recommend this grip. The best of the many brands that I have tried. Used Karakal for a long time, but these are way better. And there is way more color variety available.

bang for your buck Jun 07, 2010

I actually purchased this product to repair my reel lawnmower handle. I compared several and went with this one as it seemed like it might be more cushiony than others, came in black, and was a three-pack for a mere $5. I am very pleased. It is not that thick, in case you are worried about that on your tennis racket. It is smooth, yet the rubberiness gives it traction. No problem mowing the lawn with sweaty hands. Two grips combined for the perfect length the wrap my mower handle (about 26" long of 1.5" diameter). I was skeptical that the adhesive tape included would hold well, but it does! I even had one wrap left, which I used to cover the handle on my sons' foam bat (the foam was coming off). Worked like a charm there too, and they love it. Makes it look more "real" too!
Great deal for a small price. Happy wrapping.

Slips Jul 16, 2010
By MRay Feels pretty good at first but started slipping like crazy when I started sweating. Had to towel off after every point or watch the racket fly out of my hand.
