2Beginner training racket, but not for hard hitters  Sep 10, 2011 By Mountainperson
I consider myself as an advanced beginner in badminton, but as a former handball player (European handball) I can hit the shuttle hard. The strings of the racket did fail in the first hour of playing, although I did not hit the ground, another badminton racket or anything else while playing. Either I was just unlucky that my racket had strings with pr-embedded damage, or the racket just can not withstand the forces when the shuttle is hit hard. Also, the frame did deform quite a bit. I am not sure if this is due to the failed strings or because the frame is not strong enough for hard hitters. To summarize, even if you are a beginner but hit hard, you should buy a more advanced racket. I ordered not the Yonex Armortec 30.

3Good for beginners  Feb 25, 2012 By Pralav
This racquet is slow compared to the more expensive ones. But for a beginner learning the game, its fairly good. For players above the beginners level, the racquet does not generate enough power for baseline play.
